  • Kristian is a creative artist focusing on animation, illustration and motion graphics. He worked as an in-house and freelance artist in both the UK and Norway, and he has a Masters Degree in Digital Character Animation.

  • Ninni Rotmo Olsen has a background from the art field with many exhibitions and public sales. Her main areas are drawing, painting and photography in combination with graphics and installation, for example multimodal art projects. She has many years of experience from teaching art and design in school, the last ten years in teacher education.

Greg Curda

Greg Curda

  • Greg Curda is a Hollywood veteran sound mixer with over 80 international feature films to his credit. While at Paramount Pictures, Greg’s work contributed to multiple Golden Reel and Oscar nominations in Sound Effects and Sound, with The Hunt For Red October winning the Oscar for Best Sound Effects Editing in 1990. Greg has been teaching for 15 years and joined the Film & TV staff at Nord University in 2012.

Richard Hearsey

  • Richard presently teaches on numerous film and television production modules at all levels. In his teaching he draws on his industry experience and links to ensure the material covered is current and techniques are up to date, sometimes bringing in industry guests. He also looks to arrange opportunities for students to work on commercial projects wherever possible. He is also an active practitioner working on commercial projects as well as consulting on both script development and technical production/postproduction issues.

  • Jonas is the technician in charge of production-equipment, rental and support. He also works as a freelance TV camera operator and as an AV-technician, as well as being a musician and a stage technician.

  • Håvard is the program coordinator for bachelor in Film and TV production and was responsible for building up the media programs from 2004. Håvard has over the last 10 years also worked with developing the creative industry in this region. He is project manager for the Film and TV cluster Filmfabrikken in Levanger.

  • Dr. Nora S. Vaage is a philosopher and art historian with an interest in the role of art in society. She does research on art that uses new technologies and has written articles on ethical challenges of using new technologies for artistic purposes, the difficult balance between autonomy and engagement, representations of science in art and what it means to produce knowledge within the arts. Nora divides her time between Nord University and Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and occasionally works as an art critic and curator. At Nord University she teaches art and media theory and history, ethics and academic writing.

Hans Jørgen Støp

Hans Jørgen Støp

  • Hans Jørgen Støp is Associate professor in Music Production. He has held this position at Nord university since 2005. He graduated from the music performance studies in Jazz (Vocal) at the Trøndelag Music Conservatory in 1994, but has his own reputation as a singer/composer/producer in the Grammy award winning Norwegian Rock Band Locomotives (signed to BMG/Sony Scandinavia and Mammoth Records, U.S) in the years 1994-2004. He has also for the last twenty years produced over 30 official album releases and soundtracks for movies and TV series, in addition to having a career as a songwriter for other artists.

  • Andrew has a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University. In his PhD he focused on Real-Time Motion Capture for Analysis and Presentation within Virtual Environments. Andrew has expert knowledge of 3D digital tools for animation and visual effects.

Julian Norum

Julian Norum

  • Assistant Professor
  • Julian received training in 3D-graphics in Los Angeles, with an emphasis on digital sculpture. He has lectured and participated in art and research projects since 2007. In the last few years he has combined teaching with Fine Art studies in Madrid, and would happily have a chat in Spanish. Julian is currently an active virtual reality researcher, interested in AR/VR for artistic and philosophical exploration.

Joachim Voldseth

  • “Joachim is a multimedia technologist. He works freelance as camera and AV technician, along with other creative projects in digital scenography and VR/AR. He has a masters in film production from NTNU. “

Magnus Lillemark

  • Assosiate Professor
  • Magnus has a master’s degree in Film and Video Production from NTNU, and has been involved in large and small productions for many different film companies. He has also taught a lot at Nord University earlier, and has a background as a consultant in Trøndelag Research and Development.
